Started in 2002, Urban Junkies was the first lifestyle newsletter in London. With a unisex readership and global outlook, what started as a brief daily email has grown into a newsletter, website and content agency.
Over the years, UJ has worked with leading brands including Nike, Moët Hennessey, Belvedere, Grey Goose, Peroni, Tiffany & Co., Paul Smith and American Express, to name a few, creating everything from event series to magazines, films, books, websites and apps.
Travel content has always been a focus, and UJ has worked with hotel brands such as ME by Melià and W Hotels globally, creating content (events, city guides) and consulting. UJ has also worked with several airlines.
UJ has also been publishing a seasonal newsletter in Ibiza since 2010 and has worked with numerous global brands to lead activations on the White Isle, create content and consult, too.

Taryn Ross co-founded UJ in 2002, and has been its sole owner and MD since 2010.
With her fashion background, she originally started UJ with a group of her talented friends and colleagues; five writers delivering a daily fix to an audience that grew completely by word of mouth and some early press.
UJ has always been Soho based but globally focused, with contributors who have built careers on travelling and have their eye on everything interesting, everywhere. Over the years, UJ's content has naturally evolved from being about London launches to news and inspiration, everywhere.
Taryn has always wanted to have a retail side to UJ and is excited to see where this next chapter takes the business. She thanks her teams (past and present), readers and the advertisers/brand partners who have enabled UJ to still be here today.
